The Ternary Search Engine (TSE) developed by Algo-Logic systems takes a novel approach to perform ternary searches for improved security, QoS, bandwidth and latency.

Key Features:

  • Rapidly matches headers and payloads to multiple values selected by masks to fields of interest. Packet header fields include protocol, source and destination IP address, and port numbers.
  • Matches N-tuple fields with total lengths that typically vary between 40 to 320 bits of width.
  • Supports ternary search through its associative ternary search engine (ATSE). Associative look-ups boost security in the network and the data center
  • ATSE is optimized for virtualization allowing user to configure multiple rule tables.
  • Exact match search engine (EMSE) supports large MAC-to-MAC tables covering all servers in a data center.
  • Age table logic expires flows at user-defined intervals.
